Feasibility Studies
In cases where irrigation is proposed prior to the design stage, a feasibility study is undertaken to determine:-
- Site measurement of irrigated areas and site visit to confirm coverage with client.
- The concept of the project
- Type of irrigation required ie manual / automatic
- Soil type and drainage properties
- Local evapotranspiration rates
- Planting types
- Site particulars, static, existing buildings, exposed to wind, coastal, etc
- Irrigation equipment to be used ie, drip, spray, bubbler, pop up, etc
- Water quantities that will be required for project and separate irrigation zones
- Water licensing and abstraction
- Water quality
- Irrigation budgets and associated costs
- Power requirements
